Bio

Burton-Conner was not my first choice in dorms at MIT, but I think I was really lucky to have landed on Conner 2. I’ve been striving to make my side of the floor as cool as the other side, and I’d like to think the freshmen this year have really stepped it up.

I love snow and I miss air-conditioning. I like chocolate and I dislike oranges. I collect pointless games (basketball hoop, darts, shoot the moon), and I love playing any sort of competitive game or sports. I joined the Sport Tae Kwon Do Team because I can no longer play soccer year-round; I’m also trying to prove a space elevator can work. I can speak English, Spanish, and some French, none of which are useful when you want to ask about the railroad lines in Germany. I can cook one thing well, pancakes, though I can make pasta and breaded meat. There’s nothing a microwave can’t make.

I was born in Boston, and then lived in Colorado, Mexico, Florida, and finally Boston once again. My family is from Mexico, and I visit every year or so; it’s a lot of fun to see my family and a different country. I have a younger sister at the University of Chicago and an (honorary) twin at Pace University. IAP sophomore year, I took a one week trip to Los Angeles. IAP junior year, I took a one month trip to Europe: London, Barcelona, Paris, Munich, Zurich, Edinburgh, and Cambridge. Quiche and pastries in Paris are great.
